Bangalore: City of Joy

Now this is where I got a chance to write about a city I like the most after my native place Lucknow. Bangalore is truly a combination of a city with opportunities and at the same time full of joy. With recently being mentioned by Mr. Obama in his motivational speeches, Bangalore has not only become a symbol of IT in the world but also of success and glorified future.

Well, here I would review the city from entertainment prospect rather than a political one. The city offers a perfect blend of entertainment and hard work to its residents, mostly techies. During the weekdays, everyone is busy running across for offices and their own work. People throw themselves into work in weekdays so as to enjoy the weekends to the fullest. A famous tagline of a liquor brand truly matches this situation- “Work Hard, Party Harder”.

City of Bangalore has numerous restaurants, pubs; cafes etc for offering its residents best time out with their loved ones. Brigade road is the lively place to visit in the city. It has outlets of most famous brands you can think of- Reebok, Nike etc. It can be a real treat for Shop alcoholics in the city. For shopping purposes another location in the city offers a delight – Koramangla and BTM Layout. With various malls as Forum Mall Koramangla is the second best place to shop in the city. If you are looking for the some economical shopping you can opt to head towards the Commercial Street or Marathalli. These places also offer you all the leading brands with much economical prices.

Ah!! No fun without drinks, isn’t it?? Now since you are tired after shopping and running across markets throughout the city for the best brands, you need to relax with a soothing ambience and a drink of your choice. For the best of this king, head towards the M.G. Road, Brigade Road and there you can find the best pubs and discs you have ever seen. Fuel, Amoeba, NASA is to name a few.

For the restaurants, in Bangalore you can find a chain of every restaurant you see. Mast Kalandar, Oye Amritsar, T.G.I.F., Bombay Post, Yo China are some of the leading food chains across the city. You can easily find these outlets in areas like BTM, Indranagar and Koramangla and, of course, M.G. Road.

For movies you need to strive hard for getting the tickets. There’s no end to malls and theaters in this city but even then there’s an end to the availability of seats in them. Thus, for a movie you need to plan well ahead of time and get the tickets booked. In and around M.G. Road you can find all the leading cinema chains as Fun cinemas, Fame Lido etc.

All together the city of Bangalore has its own charm, especially in weekends and offers to enjoy every moment of your stay to the fullest. This is why as I said, I like this city very much.
